The Florida Panthers future in net is looking awfully bright.

2019 first-rounder Spencer Knight and 2020 seventh-rounder Devon Levi both posted shutouts in Tuesday action from the World Junior Championship in Edmonton.

Knight stopped all 22 shots as the United States skated to an impressive 7-0 victory over the Czech Republic, who were fresh off a big upset of Russia.

The Yanks are now 2-1 and in third place in a very tough Pool B.

Knight is 1-1 with a 2.61 GAA and .882 save percentage. He has stopped 30 of the 24 shots he has faced.

Levi only had to make 15 saves as Canada pounded offensively-challenged Switzerland by a 10-0 count.

Levi is now 3-0 with a 0.75 GAA and a .953 save percentage. The 19-year-old has stopped 41 of 43 shots faced.

In the other game on Tuesday, Russia smoked Austria 7-1, but at least the Austrians finally

Both the Americans and Canadians will be off today before facing much tougher opposition on Thursday. Knight and the U.S. will take on Sweden in a game that could, depending on what happens today, decide first place in Pool B, while Canada will face Finland in its final group stage game that will decide the winner of Pool A.

Emil Heineman and the Swedes will do battle with Russia today. If the Russians snap Sweden’s ungodly winning streak in group play, they will win Pool B and tomorrow’s matchup between the Americans and Swedes will be for second place.

Anton Lundell, Kasper Puutio and Finland have what should be a pretty easy task with Slovakia on the slate.
