Cole Krygier nets first goal of the NCAA season

Florida Panthers prospect defenseman Cole Krygier scored Michigan’s State’s only goal in last night’s 3-1 loss to the visiting Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The junior defenseman notched his first goal of the season with 3:42 remaining in the game to end Jack LaFontaine’s shutout bid.

Krygier had three shots on goal and finished the game with a +1 rating.

The two teams will meet again tonight.

Owen Lindmak and Tyler Inamoto were held off the score sheet in Wisconsin’s 4-2 road loss to Ohio State.

Lindmark registered two shots on goal, blocked a shot, won 17 of 26 faceoffs and finished the tilt with a -2 rating.

Inamoto blocked a game-high four shots, put two shots on net and finished the game with a +1 rating.

The two teams will meet again this evening at 5:30 on ESPN-U.

In the KHL, Vladislav Kolyachonok registered two shots on goal, blocked three shots, had one hit and finished with a -1 rating in 18:41 TOI during Dinamo Minsk’s 4-2 win over CSKA Moscow.

Panthers reserve Maxim Mamin had an assist for CSKA Moscow. Mamin racked up 17 PIM in the loss.

Emil Heineman played just 1:21 in Leksands IF 3-1 win Bynas in the Swedish Hockey League.

Aleksi Heponiemi and MODO Hockey will be in action today when they take on Vasteras in HockeyAllsvenskan.

Alec Rauhauser and DVTK Polar Bears will hit the road to face HC 07 Detva in a match from the Tipos Extraliga.
