Florida Panthers prospect Spencer Knight stopped all 30 of the shots he faced to post his first shutout of the NCAA season in Boston College’s 3-0 win over Providence.
Knight is now 3-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .938 save percentage.
Teammate Logan Hutsko picked up an assist in the win. Hutsko finished the game with two shots on goal and a +2 rating. Hutsko drew the secondary helper on Nikita Nesteenko’s goal 7:36 into the third period that put BC up by two.
Hutsko has collected four assists in the Eagles first three games.
Owen Lindmark registered two shots on goal, blocked two shots, won 17 of 38 faceoffs and finished the game with an even rating in Wisconsin’s 3-1 win over Ohio State.
Badgers teammate Tyler Inamoto had one shot on goal and also finished with an even rating in the victory.
Lindmark has produced two goals and five assists in 10 games this season for Wisconsin.
Inamoto has also appeared in all ten games for the 5-5 Badgers and collected three assists.
Cole Krygier registered two shots on goal, blocked one shot and finished with a -2 rating in Michigan State’s 4-2 loss to undefeated Minnesota.
Krygier has one goal in six games for the 2-4 Spartans this season.
Aleksi Heponiemi scored his team’s only goal in MODO Hockey’s 4-1 loss to Vasteras IK in Friday action from Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan.
Heponiemi opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season 3:38 into the second period. He finished the game with two shots on goal, won 7 of 15 faceoffs, and posted an even rating.
The 21-year old leads MODO Hockey in assists (8) and points (14) in 16 games played.
Alec Rauhauser and DVTK Polar Bears were thumped 6-0 by hosts HC07 Detva. DVTK remains mired in tenth place in the Tipos Extraliga.
Rauhauser has produced six points and +5 rating in 10 games.
