Another week of what seems like an endless offseason begins. The NHL and NHLPA remain focused on stating the season on January 15th and getting 52 or 56 games in. It still seems like a lot of heavy lifting is left to do. Hopefully, the sides can come to an agreement and get the league safely back on the ice soon. The last contract signed in the National was Mikhail Sergechev’s new deal on November 25, so yeah, things have been painfully quiet.

Alec Rauhauser was the only Florida Panthers prospect to play in European pro league action yesterday and his DVTK Polar Bears squad got smoked 7-2 by HC Kosice.

The Polar Bears remain stuck in tenth place in the Tipos Extraliga with 19 points, which is good enough to get them into the play-in round (7-10) of the playoffs.

Rauhauser did not figure in scoring and went -3 during the game. He has three goals, three assists, 12 PIM and is -2 in 11 games for the Hungarian-based club which plays in Slovakia’s top league.
