In NCAA action, defenseman Michael Benning, taken by the Cats in the fourth round in 2020, had one shot on goal and blocked a shot in the University of Denver’s 3-2 road win over North Dakota. The victory was the Pioneers first of the season. Benning, a freshman, has five assists in four games for Denver this season. The Pioneers will take on Miami (Ohio) on Thursday.

In today’s games involving Panthers, Emil Djuse and Spartak Moscow will face Neftekhimik in the KHL.

Justin Schutz and EC Red Bull Salzburg will take on the Graz99ers in action from Austria’s ICE Hockey League.

The Philadelphia Flyers signed RFA defenseman Phillipe Myers to a new three-year deal worth $7,65 million. Myers produced 16 points in 50 regular season games and appeared in all 16 postseason games for the Flyers in 2019-20. (Broad Street Hockey)
