Bobrovsky and Panthers step up to help BB&T Center workers

A long pause awaits the return of NHL hockey

Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will donate $100,000 to help part-time workers at the BB&T Center.

His other teammates will combine to match that total and the club’s ownership will also contribute to help arena employees make up for lost wages because of canceled or postponed events due to the coronavirus.

It looks like NHL hockey will be on hiatus for quite sometime with the end of the 2019-20 regular season and Stanley Cup possibly lost.

If you are desperate for a fix, the KHL is still up and running (albeit in arenas with no fans present) with the Gagarin Cup playoffs down to eight teams. Panthers prospect Grigori Denisenko and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl were eliminated four games to two in the opening round by Jokerit.

Let’s keep the chatter going in the comments section. Know of more hockey being played around the world? Music, movie and TV shows recommendations would be appreciate I’m sure.
