Cats final game against the Bruins isn’t happening

The Florida Panthers were supposed to play its final road game of the regular season tonight at TD Garden against the Boston Bruins. That, obviously, won’t happen. The Cats went 1-1-1 in three games versus the B’s, including a well-played 2-1 overtime loss on March 5th that sparked the club to subsequent wins over Montreal and St. Louis before the plug was pulled.

On that note, Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly sees a summer window to complete the season and Stanley Cup playoffs. (Sportsnet)

Division rival Montreal signed defenseman Gustav Olofsson to a one-year, two-way contract extension. Oloffson played three games for the Canadiens and 57 games for AHL Laval this season. (Eyes On The Prize)

The Canadiens also signed forward Jesse Ylönen to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 20-year-old scored 12 goals for Pelicans in 53 Liiga games. (Eyes On The Prize)

Trevor Zegras, the ninth overall pick in the 2019 Entry Draft, signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks. The 19-year-old put up 36 points in 33 games with Boston University and was a standout at the 2019 World Junior Championship with nine assists in five games. (Anaheim Calling)

The Boston Bruins inked undrafted defenseman Jack Ahcan to a two-year, entry-level contract. Ahcan played four seasons at St. Cloud State University. (Stanley Cup of Chowder)

The Minnesota Wild signed goaltender Hunter Jones to an entry-level contract. Jones, who played three season with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL, was taken in second round (59th overall) in the 2019 Entry Draft. (Hockey Wilderness)

The Colorado Avalanche signed center T.J. Tynan to a one-year, two-year extension. The 28-year-old played in 16 games for the Avs, and picked up his first NHL point, and 42 games for the Colorado Eagles of the AHL. (Mile High Hockey)

Colorado also signed former Panthers defenseman Jacob MacDonald to a two-year, two-way extension. MacDonald produced 42 points in 56 games for the Colorado Eagles. (The Denver Post)

The St. Louis Blues signed defenseman Scott Perunovich to a two-year, entry-level contract. Perunovich was selected in the second round (45th overall) of the 2018 draft. (Duluth News Tribune)

The Philadelphia Flyers have inked forward Wade Allison to a two-year, entry-level contract. The Flyers selected Allison, who played four years at Western Michigan University, in the second round (52nf overall) of the 2016 draft. (Broad Street Hockey)
