Lightning, Bruins and Avalanche one step away from advancing

The Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues were all victorious in Monday action from the Toronto and Edmonton hubs. Tampa Bay, Boston, and Colorado are now on the verge of advancing, while St. Louis evened its series with upstart Vancouver.

There are four games today, starting with Game 4 between Philadelphia and Montreal at 3 p.m. on NBCSN.

The Boston Bruins scored four goals in a 6:51 span in the third period to rally for a 4-3 win against the Carolina Hurricanes. Jake DeBrusk scored twice, Connor Clifton had a goal and an assist, and Brad Marchand scored in a third straight game for the Bruins.

The Bruins lead the series three games to one.

Colorado Avalanche 7, Arizona Coyotes 1

Nazem Kadri had two goals and an assist for the Colorado Avalanche in a 7-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes. Cale Makar, Matt Calvert and Mikko Rantanen each had a goal and an assist, and Philipp Grubauer saved 14 of 15 shots for the Avalanche.

The Avalanche lead the series three games to one.
