Golden Knights advance to face Avalanche

Mattias Janmark registered his first NHL hat trick, and Max Pacioretty scored in his first game since May 1 as the Vegas Golden Knights posted a 6-2 Game 7 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Vegas will meet the Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the playoffs. Game 1 is at Colorado on Sunday at 8 p.m. and will the first the two top in the league during the regular season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will travel to enemy territory tonight at 7:30 p.m. (NBCSN) to face the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 of the final ongoing series of the first round. The Buds lead three games to two. The winner of the series will move on to face the Winnipeg Jets.

The Boston Bruins and New York Islanders will open their second round series tonight at TD Garden at 8 p.m. on NBC.
