The Vegas Golden Knights rallied to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Second Round at T-Mobile Arena. Vegas scored twice in 45 seconds in the third period to forge ahead. Former Florida Panthers forward Jonathan Marchessault tied the tilt at 14:42 when he banked his attempt off goalie Philipp Grubauer from below the goal line. Max Pacioretty struck the decisive blow at 15:27 with a deflection of Nick Holden’s shot from the point. The Avalanche now lead the series two games to one.

Tyler Toffoli scored the only goal, shorthanded, as the Montreal Canadiens blanked the Winnipeg Jets by a 1-0 count in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Second Round at Bell MTS Place. Carey Price made 30 saves for the Canadiens, who will head back to Montreal up two games to none in the series. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 23 shots for the depleted Jets.
