The Winnipeg Jets and Andrew Copp have agreed to a one-year contract worth $3.64 million, avoiding a scheduled arbitration hearing. Copp had a big season in 2020-21, recording career highs in goals (15), assists (24) and points (39). (Arctic Ice Hockey)
Winnipeg also signed defenseman Johnny Kovacevic to a one-year, two-way deal. Kovacevic suited up in 29 AHL games for the Manitoba Moose last season. (Illegal Curve)
The Edmonton Oilers inked defenseman Slater Koekkoek to a two-year, $1.85-million contract. Koekkoek, 27, scored one goal in 18 games for the Oilers after signing with the club prior to the start of the 2020-21 season. (The Copper & Blue)
The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed defenseman Guillaume Brisebois to a one-year, two-way contract. Brisebois appeared in one game for the Canucks and suited up for 14 AHL games last season. (The Province)
The New York Rangers signed forward Brennan Othmann to an entry-level contract. Othmann, who spent last season with EC Olten in Switzerland, was selected with the 16th overall pick in 2021 NHL Entry Draft. (Blueshirt Banter)
The Los Angeles Kings signed forward Sammy Helenius to an entry-level contract. Helenius was taken in the second round (59th overall) of the 2021 draft. The 18-year-played in 54 games with Liiga’s JYP club. (Mayor’s Manor)
