4 Nations Face-Off: Finland vs Sweden / USA vs Canada

Another exciting doubleheader is on tap today at the 4 Nations Face-Off. The scene has switched to Boston’s TD Garden, and while the United States has clinched a spot in Thursday’s final, the second spot is completely up for grabs. If Canada wins the early game in regulation, they are in. If they win in overtime or the shootout, that will leave the door open for Gustav Forsling and the Swedes, who get an opponent with nothing to play for in the nightcap. Finland, with its contingent of four Florida Panthers, will need to upset Canada and get help from the United States. Matthew Tkachuk will likely get the night off, so he’ll have a better chance of being in the lineup on Thursday.
