- NOTES: The annual Harvest Drive concludes tonight, so bring your non-perishable goods to the JetBlue Tarmac before the game...F Quinton Howden was the latest player to "take over" the Cats' Twitter account; check out his answers to your questions...Gamey-stuffy: Injured blueliner Dmitry Kulikov remains out for the next few matches; D Steven Kampfer is relishing the opportunity to display his wares during that time...With F Jaromir Jagr now adjusting to linemate Aleksander Barkov's return just days ago, Bleacher Report asks whether Jags' "slump" may be "a sign the end is near". The "slump" referred to goes beyond the 3 points in his last four games, so there's more than may be apparent on the surface but make of it what you like...On this day in 2005, Panthers F Gary Roberts netted his 400th career goal (yeah, I was there and only 30 or so feet from the faceoff circle where the play began; I'll never forget his eyes as the puck was dropped, he really wanted that goal.)... Ducks forward Rickard Rakell is really heating up; he has six points in his last six games... Second-year defenseman Josh Manson, who missed the last two games with the flu, is expected back in the lineup tonight... Anaheim has lost the last two times they've been in Sunrise.
- QUOTED:/
"If you shoot too hard, guys can't tip it sometimes. So you want to get a nice, even shot, and hopefully they can tip it in from outside the net if need be."
- Panthers hero - and Public Enemy #1 in the Tampa/St. Pete metro area - D Aaron Ekblad on his decision-making process in formulating the perfect shot (Sun-Sentinel).
