CLS Redraft: Your blenderized Florida Panthers after ten rounds

The Inaugural Cycle Like the Sedins League Redraft soldiers on, so I thought it might be fair – for better or worse – to give y’all an update as to the state of the Florida Panthers, version 2.0.

Round One: David Booth, LW, FLA (30th pick, 30th overall)

Round Two: Steve Mason, G, CBJ (1st, 31st)

Round Three: Phil Kessel, RW, BOS (30th, 90th)

Round Four: Sheldon Souray, D, EDM (1st, 91st)

Round Five:  Marc-Andre Bergeron, D, MIN (30th, 150th)

Round Six: Patrick Sharp, C, CHI (1st, 151st)

Round Seven: Michael Frolik, C/LW, FLA (30th, 210th)

Round Eight: Francois Beauchemin, D, TOR (1st, 211th)

Round Nine: Stephane Robidas, D, DAL (30th, 270th)

Round Ten: Scottie Upshall, RW, PHX (1st, 271st)

Next up: Round Eleven (30th, 330th)…and it’s looking like we’re in dire need of another center and right wing. Maybe a backup goaltender. I have no doubts whatsoever that not a single Florida fan will disagree with my choices.

Other notable Cats picked thus far:

NYI take Tomas Vokoun (2nd round, 55th overall)

DAL takes Scott Clemmensen (3rd, 64th)

CAR takes Nathan Horton (3rd, 79th)…imagine Horts as a ‘Cane.

COL takes Keith Ballard (5th, 149th)

OTT takes Stephen Weiss (6th, 157th)

PHI takes Bryan McCabe (9th, 247th)

Uh oh…the auto-linker-thingy didn’t like my fifth round choice. An omen?
