With injuries testing the Florida Panthers forward depth, the club claimed Cole Schwindt off waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Panthers selected Schwindt in the third round (81st overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He was part of the package that was sent to the Calgary Flames to land Matthew Tkachuk.

Last season, Schwindt appeared in 42 games with the Golden Knights and scored his first NHL goal and added seven assists.

Schwindt has appeared in a total of 49 NHL games and also has 136 games of AHL experience under his belt, all with the Calgary Wranglers.
