Divisionally Speaking for Monday
No change in the division standings, unless one considers Atlanta losing again being "significant".
- Philadelphia's Jeff Carter scored two goals and handed the Thrashers yet one more loss. Pump the Flyers two more points above Florida in the East. Ducky.
It wasn't all bad news in the conference, though...
- Detroit's Ty Conklin shutout the Penguins 3-0. The tailspin in Pittsburgh (57 points, 10th place, and a coach being led to the gallows pole) continues./
TONIGHT
No Southeast games at all this evening, but keep primed for:
- NY Rangers @ New Jersey, 7p. Five points up on the Panthers, New York attempts to shut down a hot Devils squad (8-2 last ten...no Brodeur).
- Montreal @ Calgary, 9p. The Habs, 3-7 in their past ten, look to grab the fourth spot from Philadelphia. Montreal is currently six points ahead of the Cats. It's okay to be a closet Iron Mike fan for one night./
