NHL Draft 2017: A list of every Florida Panthers draft pick

The final order for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft was set with the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Final between the Piitsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators. The New Jersey Devils will be selecting No. 1 overall after winning the lottery back in May. The event is being held at the United Center in Chicago.

The top five picks in the draft will go to the Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, and Vancouver Canucks in that order. The newly-minted Vegas Golden Knights will make their first-ever pick at No. 6 overall, then the Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, and our Florida Panthers round out the top 10.

The Cats have just five picks in the 2017 draft, including at least one in every round. The pick at No. 10 overall should give them an opportunity to land a quality prospect even if it’s not Nolan Patrick or Nico Hischier.

Now that the complete order for the entire draft has been set, returning GM Dale Tallon knows exactly where his staff will be picking. Here’s the complete list:

Florida’s picks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft

First Round – 10th overall

Second Round – 40th overall

Third Round – 66th overall (from Arizona)

Fifth Round – 133rd overall

Sixth Round – 184th overall (from Anaheim)
