ReCat: Power Play Strong In Cats Win Over Avs

The Florida Panthers scored with the man-advantage three times in three tries in a 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night.

Vincent Trocheck lit the lamp twice and added an assist, Brian Campbell mirrored him with a shorthanded marker and two helpers, and Roberto Luongo came within a minute of his 69th career shutout. The victory finally moved Luongo into sole possession of ninth place on the NHL’s all-time wins leaderboard, with his 404th.

Gabriel Landeskog ruined Luongo’s perfect outing at the 19:03 mark of the third. Reilly Smith collected Florida’s other marker, also adding an assist, while Alex Petrovic terrorized Colorado with six hits.
