Florida Panthers acquire defenseman Gustav Bouramman from Wild

The Florida Panthers announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Gustav Bouramman from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for future considerations.

Bouramman appeared in 23 games with the AHL’s Iowa Wild during 2018-19 season. The 6-foot, 194-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden was originally selected in the seventh round (201st overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.

He registered 126 points (13-113-126) over 201 Ontario Hockey League games with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, averaging 42 points per season.

Elite Prospects Tyler Parchem had this to say about the Swedish blueliner in 2015

Bouramman is a quick, averaged sized defenseman who skates very well and is an excellent passer. Not overly physical but is a smart player. He fit in well on a deep Soo greyhounds team and will look to be the top guy next season after the graduation of Darnell Nurse.

The 22-year-old is in the final year of his entry-level contract.
