The Florida Panthers opened its third-straight Eastern Conference Final with an unstructured, but effective 5-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center in Raleigh on Tuesday night. Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett scored power-play goals and Aaron Ekblad, A.J. Greer (GWG) and Eetu Luostarinen also lit the lamp for the Cats, who won for the fourth time in the last five games. Evan Rodrigues and Tomas Nosek each finished with two assists. Sergei Bobrovsky made 31 saves and held the opposition to two-or-fewer goals for a fifth consecutive start. Carolina got goals from the skate of Sebastian Aho and the stick of Jackson Blake. Seth Jarvis drew the primary assist on both. Frederik Andersen saw his GAA climb to 1.74 and his save percentage drop to .919 after the Game 1 loss.
