GameDay Caterwaul & Thread: Florida Panthers at Carolina Hurricanes

The Florida Panthers (16-16-4) will touch down in Raleigh to take on the Carolina Hurricanes (23-6-6) tonight at PNC Arena. With the majority of their regulars back in the lineup, the Panthers returned from the holiday break and roared past the Montreal Canadiens by a 7-2 count. Aleksander Barkov notched his fourth career hat trick and added two assists after missing the three previous games to provide a huge spark. The Metropolitan Division-leading Hurricanes are 9-0-1 in their last ten games and their 52 points are second-best in the league behind the Boston Bruins. Carolina blanked the Chicago Blackhawks 3-0 on home ice in their last outing.
