Leon Draisaitl’s inadvertent goal 11:18 into overtime capped a historic comeback, giving the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 victory over the Florida Panthers in a back-and-forth Game 4 at Amerant Bank Arena. The Oilers became the first time in NHL history to rally from a three-goal first period deficit to win a Stanley Cup Final game, and Draisaitl became the first player to ever score four overtime goals in a single postseason. Matthew Tkachuk notched a pair of first period power-play goals and added an assist and Sam Reinhart sent the game to a fourth period with 20 seconds left in regulation and added two helpers. Anton Lundell scored Florida’s other goal late in the first before Edmonton’s red light run from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Darnell Nurse, Vasily Podkolzin and Jake Walman. Calvin Pickard replaced Stuart Skinner at the start of the second period and stopped 22 of 23 shots, including highlight-reel saves on Lundell and Sam Bennett.
