The Florida Panthers (33-30-3) will play the first of three north of the border when they take on the cellar-dwelling Vancouver Canucks (20-38-8) tonight at Rogers Arena.
Florida opened its four-game road trip with a disappointing 6-2 loss to Seattle Kraken on Sunday. Newcomer Vinnie Hinostroza and Eetu Luostarinen were the only Panthers to beat Joey Daccord. Jesper Boqvist, Luke Kunin, Gustav Forsling and Mackie Samoskevich were credited with assists. Daniil Tarasov surrendered the six goals on 25 shots as the Cats saw their modest three-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt.
The Canucks are also coming off a loss to the Kraken, taking a 5-2 defeat on home ice on Saturday. Evander Kane and Marco Rossi were the goal-scorers and Nikita Tolopilo stopped 28 of 33 shots for Vancouver, who seem destined to have the best odds for winning the first overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
