Scouting Report

A pair of Eastern Conference teams currently in playoff positioning take the ice in the nation’s capital. The Florida Panthers are on the road as they face the Washington Capitals Wednesday night. Florida comes in off a 5-2 home loss to Buffalo Sunday night in their previous contest. Washington was dropped 2-1 in a shootout by Vancouver on Saturday afternoon in their last game. The Panthers have claimed six of the last eight meetings but it was the Capitals earning a 5-4 overtime win on the road November 7 in the first match-up this season.
