Florida Panthers nab Denis Malgin with fourth round selection
The undersized Swiss forward is the 102nd selection in the NHL Draft.
Denis Malgin is a 5'8" forward who plays the game with a lot of skill and speed. Those traits made up for his size, and Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon made him the team's fourth selection of the 2015 NHL Draft. Here are his stats, from Elite Prospects:

This pick could end up being a steal for the Panthers in the fourth round, as lots of scouts were really high on Malgin's skill set. He dropped because of his size, but as the recent exploits of Tampa Bay's Tyler Johnson have shown us, today's NHL is more welcoming to the smaller guy, and Malgin's skill will potentially result in him cracking the pro roster as a top six player.
