Florida Panthers 2013 Rookie Development Camp Open Forum

38 prospects to participate in annual rookie evaluation week

With the latest NHL Draft behind us and more recently the league's free agency period well into its first few days, the Florida Panthers open their annual prospect development camp Monday morning from Saveology Iceplex in Coral Springs. A hectic period for sure, but camp is unique in that it affords local fans the ability to get hands-on in a way the previous events do not, as four of the five days feature no-charge, open-door opportunities to see the Cats' future in a competitive environment firsthand. A number of coaching and management personalities from around the organization will be be playing various roles throughout the next few days, including former captain/current manager of player development Bryan McCabe and newly-minted San Antonio Rampage head coach Peter Horachek; no question club overlord Dale Tallon will be found in that Fortress of Solitude glass booth thing at the starboard end of rink #3. It's a fun few days which allow the public a chance to be as close to the operational aspects of a big league team as you're likely to find in any sport, so if you have a few free moments, stop by.
