Bowen Byram and Noah Ostlund each had a goal and assist, Alex Tuch scored the go-ahead goal early in third, and former Florida Panthers goalie Alex Lyon made 24 saves in the Buffalo Sabres 3-1 victory over the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. The Sabres took a 2-1 lead in the series.

Logan Stankoven opened the scoring again and Jackson Blake also lit the lamp for the Carolina Hurricanes, who took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Ottawa Senators with a 2-1 win in Game 3 at Canadian Tire Centre. Frederik Andersen made 21 saves, yielding only to Drake Batherson.

Artturi Lehkonen had a goal and an assist, and Gabriel Landeskog, Cale Makar and Brock Nelson also tallied as the Colorado Avalanche doubled up the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 at Crypto.com Arena to grab a 3-0 lead in the series. Adriane Kempe and Trevor Moore scored for the Kings.
