Thursday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers GameDay Open Forum

Following a rather poor outing by Scott Clemmensen against Washington Tuesday, the Panthers will turn to Jose Theodore (4-5, 2-2 in Sunrise this season) once again; how do his career numbers stack up against the Canadiens? A somewhat pedestrian 2-2-1, sporting a downright gloomy 4.60/8.61 with one shutout. Not exactly bristling with confidence-instilling goodness, but he’s the only option at the NHL level. Short of a Jacob Markstrom recall or Robb Tallas declaring his retirement as a player was premature, Theo’s the man.

Habs netminder Carey Price (7-3, 2-0 on road) remains similarly rooted in mediocrity against the Cats, having gone 4-4-1 (one shutout) lifetime though brandishing far superior goals-against and save percentages: 2.10/.934.

Anyway, off to work, so the Caterwaul is unleashed. Take a peek over at Eyes On The Prize for all of your Montreal needs, and tune in this evening for the LBC Live GameThread at 7 ET. Have a great Valentine’s Day; get out there and kiss something.
