Florida Panthers at the Worlds: A recap of day three action

The 2015 IIHF World Championship rolled on with six more games yesterday, with four involving members of the Florida Panthers.

Finland 3, Denmark 0: Jussi Jokinen scored a goal and an assist and Aleksander Barkov added a goal in Finland’s 3-0 blanking of the Danes. Jokinen’s goal opened the scoring in the second period while Barkov scored the Finn’s third goal later in the frame, from Esa Lindell and Jokinen. Barkov finished he game with 2 shots on goal and a +2 rating in 15:05. Jokinen also had 2 shots on goal and +2 rating while logging 14:23 TOI. For more click here

Canada 10, Germany 0: Taylor Hall notched a hat-trick to power Canada’s 10-0 rout of Germany. Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad scored to make it 6-0 and chase German starter Dennis Endras. That was Ekblad’s only shot on goal. He finished the game with a +3 rating while logging 10:38 of ice time. For more click here

Russia 5, Slovenia 3: Evgeni Dadonov scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in Russia’s 5-3 win over Slovenia. Dmitry Kulikov finished the game with one shot on goal and an even rating in 18:25 TOI. Kulikov was called for cross-checking in the second period. For more click here

Slovakia 2, Belarus 1: Andrej Meszaros scored the game-winner 1:55 into overtime as the Slovaks edged Belarus. Tomas Kopecky finished the game with 3 shots on goal and an even rating in 20:20 of ice time. For more click here
