After having the final year of his contract  bought out by the Florida Panthers last week, veteran Finnish forward Jussi Jokinen was able to catch on with the Edmonton Oilers, signing a one-year, $1.1 million deal yesterday. Best of luck, Jussi!

In other free agent signings, former Chicago Blackhawks forward Dennis Rasmussen signed a one-year, one-way pact with the Anaheim Ducks. Joseph Labate remained with the Vancouver Canucks, signing a one-year, two-way deal, and Kurtis Gabriel stayed on with the Minnesota Wild, inking a a one-year, two-way deal.
