Friday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Offseason Open Forum

The Florida Panthers re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Mark Pysk to a three-year, $8.2 million contract yesterday. The new deal carries a cap hit of $2.733 per season. Pysyk will be paid $1.95 million this season, $2.75 million in 2018-19 and $3.5 million in the final year of the contract.

In other news, the Washington Capitals re-signed backup goaltender Philipp Grubauer to a one-year deal. The Los Angeles Kings re-upped forward Nick Shore for another season. The Pittsburgh Penguins signed undrafted NCAA free agent Adam Johnson to a two-year, entry-level contract. The Vegas Golden Knights inked restricted free agent Teemu Pulkkinen to a one-year, two-way deal. Vegas took the forward from Arizona in the expansion draft. The Coyotes added Emerson Etem on a one-year, two-way contract. The Montreal Canadiens re-signed goalie Charlie Lindgren for another season, and the Dallas Stars re-upped Brett Ritchie for two more years.
