Franchise legend Patrick Kane reunited with the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, signing a two-year contract worth $16 million. The 37-year-old Kane remains productive, amassing 163 points in 189 games over the last three seasons with the Detroit Red Wings. He put up 16 goals and 41 assists in 67 games last season.
Jet Greaves and the Columbus Blue Jackets agreed to a three-year, $15-million contract just before a scheduled arbitration hearing. Greaves is coming off a strong season, recording a 26-19-9 record with two shutouts, a 2.60 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
Ronan Seeley agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract worth $850K with the Carolina Hurricanes, avoiding arbitration. Seeley made his NHL debut last season, appearing in the regular season finale against the New York Islanders.

The Blue Jackets also signed forward Danton Heinen to a one-year, two-way contract worth $1 million at the NHL level and $550K at the AHL level. Heinen scored five goals and added five assists in 33 appearances with the Blue Jackets after being acquired in a trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on December 29, 2025.
Defensemen Max Psenicka singed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Utah Mammoth. Psenicka spent most of the 2025-26 season playing with the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks, producing eight goals and 22 assists in 53 regular season games.
The New York Islanders inked forward Joey Larson to a new two-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $875K. Suiting up for Bridgeport, Larson produced 17 goals and 28 points in 63 games during his first full season in the AHL.
