Suzuki powers Canadiens past Golden Knights

Nick Suzuki had a goal and two assists, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Eric Staal, and Cole Caufield scored for the Montreal Canadiens, who are now just one win from their first appearance in the Stanley Cup Final since 1993 after last night’s impressive 4-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Carey Price turned aside 26 shots for the Habs.

Former Canadien Max Pacioretty notched the only goal for Golden Knights 4:09 into the third period. Marc-Andre Fleury made 22 saves in his return to the Vegas net after Robin Lehner stopped 27 shots in Sunday’s 2-1 overtime victory in Game 4.

Former Florida Panthers Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith have yet to light the lamp in the series.
