Friday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Offseason Open Forum

Artturi Lehkonen one-timed Phillip Danaultโ€™s backhand pass by Robin Lehner 1:39 into overtime to give the Montreal Canadiens a 3-2 win against the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Semifinals at Bell Centre, sending Montreal to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1993.

Hobey Baker-winner Cole Caufield notched his fourth goal of the series, Shea Weber also scored, and Carey Price made 37 saves for the Canadiens.

Former Florida Panthers forward Reilly Smith and Alec Martinez scored the goals for the Golden Knights, who got a 29-save effort from Lehner.

The Dallas Stars signed forward Rhett Gardner to a two-year, two-way (in season one) contract extension. Gardner produced his first NHL goal and assist while playing 28 games for the Stars this past season. (Dallas Morning News)
