Friday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Florida Panthers get another day off to bask in the minor glory of its comeback win over the New York Islanders on Wednesday night.

Florida will face the New Jersey Devils in a nooner from the Prudential Center on Saturday. A win will get the Panthers back to a .500 points percentage before the trip to Finland.

The Devils will be looking to bounce back after blowing a third period lead and falling 4-3 in overtime to the visiting Nashville Predators last night.

Last season, the Cats took two out of three from New Jersey with all three games being decided by one goal.

The Springfield Thunderbirds (4-0-0-2) will host the Providence Bruins on Saturday and Hartford Wolfpack on Sunday at MassMutual Center.

Springfield is currently in second place in the AHL’s Atlantic Division, two points behind the Charlotte Checkers.
