The NHL remains idle today, however, the 2025 World Junior Championship will provide high-quality pucks in its absence.
This year’s tournament is much closer to home (and even in our time zone) as it’s being played in the Ottawa area, at Canadian Tire Centre and TD Place.
Group A, which will play out of Canadian Tire Centre in suburban Kanata, consists of host Canada, the United States, Finland, Latvia and Germany.
Group B, which will play out of TD Place (formerly the Ottawa Civic Centre), consists of Sweden, Czechia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Kazakhstan
The United States is both the defending champions and top-ranked team after beating Sweden in last year’s final by a 6-2 count.
