Friday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

Frequent trade partners, the Arizona Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks completed a deal that saw the Desert Dogs acquire the final three years of Marian Hossa’s contract. In the seven-player trade that also included two draft picks, the Blackhawks received forward Marcus Kruger. as the big piece coming back.  Chicago sent Vinnie Hinostroza and defenseman Jordan Oesterle to the Coyotes and received prospects MacKenzie Entwistle and Jordan Maletta and AHL player Andrew Campbell in return. Arizona also received a third-round pick in the 2019 draft while the Blackhawks get a fifth-round selection in the same draft. (Second City Hockey)

The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with goaltender Connor Hellebuyck on a six-year, $37 million deal, Hellebuyck finished second in voting for the Vezina Trophy last season. (Arctic Ice Hockey)
