Florida Panthers open training camp

The Florida Panthers opened training camp for the 2016-17 regular season today with multiple practices and a scrimmage at Panthers IceDen this morning.

The camp roster has grown to 53 players as of today. 28 forwards, 18 defenseman and 7 goaltenders are on hand in Coral Springs, including Roberto Luongo, who has been cleared for all activity after off-season hip surgery.

The practice – scrimmage schedule will continue through Monday before the Cats play a double-header against the Nashville Predators Tuesday at the BB&T Center. The team will take Wednesday off before heading north to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.
