Florida Panthers Prospect Roundup: November 24, 2011

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and hope you’re having a good day. Hope you saved room for a prospect roundup. This week, the Rampage get Mike Santos’ message loud and clear, the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees dominated their weekend series, and our two top CHL prospects show their soft sides.

San Antonio Rampage (AHL)

7-2-0, 10 Points, 5th Place West Division (2-2-0 during the week)
Goals for 42, Goals Against 64

After playing unacceptable hockey, the Rampage looked completely different this week. The team started off the week defeating the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-4 in overtime, with Colby Robak scoring the game winner just 30 seconds into the extra period. The hard work continued in Chicago, where Bill Thomas, who scored only one goal in the first 14 games, scored two points in the Rampage’s 4-3 win.
The Rampage ran out of steam the next game however, recording only 13 shots in their 3-1 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals. Bracken Kearns, a former Admiral, was the only goal scorer. The Rampage ended the week losing 6-3 to the Rockford IceHogs. The Rampage were down 3-0 in the game, but fought back to tie it with three unanswered goals. Former Panther Rostislav Olesz, scored two points (1G/1A).
Goaltender Tyler Plante has elected to go overseas. The Rampage have signed Dov Grumet-Morris, who played one game for the Rampage in 2005.
