Can you help a Panther?

The answer to that on Thursday was a resounding yes as the Cats got a ton of help last night. The roadie Buffalo Sabres were beaten 4-3 by the Calgary Flames, the Tampa Bay Lightning dropped a 5-4 decision to the visiting Minnesota Wild, and the Montreal Canadiens fell at home to the Colorado Avalance by a 4-3 count, keeping the Panthers in second place in the Atlantic Division for yet another day. The Habs can pass the Cats tonight if they defeat the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. If that happens, the Panthers do have three games in hand on Montreal.
