Florida Panthers prospects update (stats as of 11/21)

The Springfield Thunderbirds head into a busy weekend that will see them play three times in third place in the AHL’s Atlantic Division with an 11-7 record. Springfield is tied in points with second place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, but has played one more game than the Penguins.

Anthony Greco has taken the club scoring lead with 14 points. Owen Tippett has a team-leading eight goals and is second in points with 13. Kevin Roy is the only other T-Bird with double-digit points. He has put up two goals and a team-best (tied with Ethan Prow) eight assists.

Don’t let Chris Driedger’s 6-6 record fool you. The 25-year-old is sporting a minuscule 1.93 GAA and amazing .942 save percentage. Give the poor guy some goal support, FFS.

Philippe Desrosiers is also compiling some nice stats. The former Dallas Stars prospect is 5-1 with a 2.61 GAA and .925 save percentage.

Not factored into the stats below (the Florida Panthers sent these out yesterday afternoon) is goaltender Ryan Bernard’s 2-1 win over the Jacksonville IceMen last night in Greenville. Bednard made 25 saves to raise his record for the Swamp Rabbits to 6-5-1. Liam Pecararo picked up an assist in the victory.
