The Barrie, ON native was selected by the Panthers in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

So there is your current replacement for injured forward Jonathan Huberdeau, whom even Florida coach Peter Horachek claimed wasn’t quite sure what took down the reigning NHL Calder Trophy winner during Sunday’s eventual shootout loss to the Canucks in Sunrise, only stating that it was of the upper-body sort. Huberdeau did not make the trip.

The Cats next play Tuesday evening at San Jose (LBC GameThread at 10 pm).
