The Florida Panthers will wrap up the 2024 Rookie Showcase in Nashville when they face the Tampa Bay Lightning at Ford Ice Center Bellevue at 11 a.m. this morning.
Florida beat the host Predators 5-2 on Friday, but after a strong start on Saturday, ended up getting smoked 7-3 by the Carolina Hurricanes, who scored six times in the third period.
Hunter St. Martin, Florida’s sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, has goals in both games.
The Lightning lost 7-4 to the Hurricanes in their opening game and then gagged up a late lead before falling 3-2 in overtime to Nashville on Saturday.

In Sunday action from the Belarusian Extraleague, Stepan Zvyagin scored 3:22 into overtime to give Dinamo Molodechno a 2-1 win over Slavutych. It was Zvyagin’s first goal of the season. Zvyagin had an assist when the teams met on Friday, a 6-2 Molodechno win.
Matvei Shuravin played on the first defense pairing and finished with two assists in Krasnaya Armiya’s 7-0 win over Almaz in action from Russia’s MHL. Shuravin has collected five assists and posted a plus-13 rating in six games this season.
Goaltender Olof Glifford backstopped HV71 to a 5-1 win over Sodertalje in J20 Nationell action from Sweden. Glifford is now 2-2 with a 3.01 GAA and .892 save percentage.
