With camp closed to the public, hopefully the media members in attendance can come through with some juicy details for us.

The Kiddie Cat crew will practice Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and then break for a few days before participating in the Prospect Showcase Tournament at Advent Health Center Ice complex in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

NHL signings

For the second day in a row the Calgary Flames were the team making roster moves. The Flames signed former Panthers defenseman Erik Gudbranson to a one-year deal worth $1.925 million. Gudbranson, 29, finished the 2020-21 season with the Nashville Predators after he was acquired from the Ottawa Senators on April 12 for a 7th round draft pick in 2023 and prospect defenseman Brandon Fortunato. Calgary also re-signed defenseman Michael Stone to a one-year contract worth league minimum of $750K. Stone, 31, produced two goals and two assists in 21 games with the Flames last season. Today is obviously a somber day. If you any thoughts or feelings on 9/11 feel free to share them in the comment section below.
