The Buffalo Sabres defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 6 at TD Garden on Friday to take the series four games to two. It was Buffalo’s first postseason series win since 2007. Alex Tuch, Tuch, Mattias Samuelsson, Zach Benson and Josh Norris lit the lamp for the Sabres. Rasmus Dahlin and Tage Thompson each had two assists, and former Florida Panthers goaltender Alex Lyon stopped 25 saves. David Pastrnak scored Boston’s only goal, and Jeremy Swayman finished with 22 saves.

Mitch Marner had two goals and an assist as the Vegas Golden Knights eliminated the Utah Mammoth with a 5-1 victory in Game 6 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Brett Howden, Colton Sissions and Cole Smith also scored for Vegas, who will take on the upstart Anaheim Ducks next. Kailer Yamamoto scored, and Karel Vejmelka made 21 stops for the Mammoth.

Gage Goncalves scored 9:03 into overtime to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 1-0 win against the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 at Bell Centre. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 30 saves for his eighth career Stanley Cup Playoff shutout, outdueling Montreal’s Jakub Dobes, who finished the tilt with 32 stops. Game 7 will take place on Sunday.
