Anton Lundell scored a power-play goal and collected an assist on Jesse Puljujarvi’s third period game-winner in Finland’s 3-1 victory over Germany at the IIHF World Championship in Switzerland. Aleksander Barkov, who played his first meaningful game since June, 17, 2025, had the secondary assist on Lundell’s first period marker, which came with Germany’s Maximillian Kastner off for tripping. Lundell, named the game’s best player, logged 15:58 of ice time, registered three shots on goal and won four of six faceoffs. Barkov played 18:01, had three shots on goal and went 8 of 11 in the dot. Finland will play Hungary this morning.
