Florida Panthers sign Jayce Hawryluk to entry-level contract

The Florida Panthers announced the signing of 2014 second-round draft pick (32nd overall) Jayce Hawryluk to an entry-level contract on Tuesday.

Hawryluk is currently in the midst of his fourth campaign with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings. The 20-year-old forward currently has scored 30 goals and 49 assists in 49 games this season.

In the month of February, Hawryluk tore up the league, posting a jaw-dropping 33 points (7G/26A) in just 13 games.

In his four seasons in Brandon, the Roblin, Manitoba native has accumulated a total of 251 points (102G/149A) in 223 regular season games. In the playoffs, Hawryluk has put up 15 goals and 31 points in 24 games, proving he knows how to take his game to next level.
