Taking a very quick break from Trade Deadline talk, if only for a moment...
The Panthers' powerplay has shown some positive spark in recent days, going a collective 10-for-33. The PK units' efforts have been downright unthinkable, however, turning aside 38 of 40 opposition attempts. Interestingly, and equally frustrating, is the inability of those numbers to translate into wins: of the four games in which Florida's penalty kill went 4-for-4 or better, three were losses. Still, considering what comprises a 3-4-3 record over the span, the specialty units have been rather formidable.
