Sunday Offseason Caterwaul: Florida Panthers and NHL Playoffs Open Forum

The Nashville Predators posted a huge 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. Roman Josi scored the game-tying goal and added two assists as the Predators lit the lamp three times in the second period. Pekka Rinne made 27 saves in a return to form after two tough outings in Pittsburgh. Game 4 is Monday night in Nashville.

In case you missed it on Friday, Jim Montgomery has decided to stay at the University of Denver so remove him from the list of head coach candidates for the Florida Panthers. The Cats have reportedly interviewed Bob Boughner, Todd Reirden and Michel Therrien already and are waiting for the playoffs to end so they can talk to Nashville’s Phil Housley and possibly, Penguins assistant Rick Tocchet.
