Team White rallies for 4-2 win in Panthers scrimmage

The Florida Panthers scrimmaged Sunday morning at Panthers IceDen in Corals Springs and Team White overcame a two-goal deficit to win by a 4-2 count.

Sebastian Repo knocked in a rebound and Henrik Borgstrom scored on a penalty shot (there were no power plays) to give the Red team a two-goal advantage.

Defenseman Julian Melchiori, who spent last season with the Manitoba Moose, scored twice to tie the tilt and then Bobby Farnham put the White side up when he scored a rebound goal.

Veteran Harry Zolnierczyk notched the final goal with a nice move to seal things up for Team White.

With Sunday’s scrimmage completed, the Cats will take to the ice again today for a preseason doubleheader against the Nashville Predators at the BB&T Center. The first game will get underway at 3:30 p.m., with the nightcap following at 7 p.m.
